For generations, Disneyland Resort has been a source of wonder and enchantment for visitors from all over the world. Located in Anaheim, California, the resort is home to two theme parks, three hotels, and a shopping and entertainment district. Since its opening in 1955, Disneyland Resort has been a destination for family fun and adventure.
The original Disneyland Park opened on July 17, 1955, and was the first of its kind in the world. The park is divided into eight themed lands: Main Street USA, Adventureland, Frontierland, Fantasyland, Tomorrowland, Critter Country, Mickey’s Toontown, and New Orleans Square. Each land features attractions, shows, and restaurants that capture the spirit of the land’s theme.
Disney California Adventure Park opened in 2001 and is located across from Disneyland Park. This park is divided into seven themed lands: Buena Vista Street, Hollywood Land, A Bug’s Land, Pacific Wharf, Grizzly Peak, Cars Land, and Paradise Pier. The park features attractions based on Disney and Pixar films such as The Little Mermaid and Toy Story.
In addition to the two parks, Disneyland Resort also offers three onsite hotels. The Disneyland Hotel is the resort’s flagship hotel and offers luxurious accommodations with views of the parks. Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel & Spa is a luxurious hotel located at the entrance to Disney California Adventure Park. Disney’s Paradise Pier Hotel is a beach-themed hotel located across from Paradise Pier in Disney California Adventure Park.
Disneyland Resort also features Downtown Disney, a shopping and entertainment district located between the two parks. Downtown Disney features a variety of restaurants, shops, and entertainment venues including the House of Blues and ESPN Zone.
